Side dish: Nellore Erra Karam

A Stunning side dish for idli/dosa, it’s super simple to make and tastes great with south Indian breakfast or punugullu or fried puri or you can dip for Minapappu Garellu. Do check the recipe details down below
Let’s start with Ingredients and follows the procedure
Ingredients:
- Onion – 1/2 – chopped
- Tomato – 1 – chopped
- Byadgi red chillies – 3 ( deseeded and soaked in water for 15 mins )
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Jaggery – 1 inch – piece
- Water – 60 ml
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Procedure:
- Take a mixie jar to add onion, tomato, red chillies, salt , water (60 ml)
- Blend them to a fine paste or puree
- Put a skillet pan on medium heat, add 2 tbsp oil
- Then add blended paste, saute for few secs and let it cook for 10 minutes
- Next, saute and add jaggery piece
- Let it cook 5 more mins and turn off the heat.
- At this point, erra Karam cooked well, transfer it to a serving bowl and apply on dosa with pappula podi or serve as a side to Steamed Idli
