Paneer Tikka | Baked | Starter πŸ˜‹

Paneer Tikka is one of the best starters recipes in Indian cuisine, cubes of paneer, bell peppers, onion, and spices are marinated in thick yogurt/ homemade curd.

After marination, put them to skewers and bake. Tada! You’re done and ready to dip in withΒ Mint / Sweet Chutney


Traditionally, this starter used to cook in tandoori but I made them in the oven. Fortunately, they turned out super delicious and tasted the same as dabha / restaurant style recipe. It’s completely vegetarian and people who would like to make chicken tikka can follow the same process and you need to replace paneer ☺️ I can definitely assure you β€œpaneer Tikka tastes awesome”. Anybody can cook, it’s super easy to make, what do you say πŸ˜€

Let’s start with Ingredients and Procedure


  • Paneer – 180 grams – chopped – cubes
  • Green Capsicum – 1 – chopped – diced
  • Red/ Yellow Capsicum – 1 – chopped – diced
  • Red onion petals – 20
  • Curd / Greek Yogurt – 180 ml
  • Chickpea / Besan flour – 1 tbsp
  • Red chilly powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1/2 Tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder -1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • oil – 1 tbsp


  • Add all chopped veggies, Paneer in a deep mixing bowl
  • Then add curd, salt, red chilly powder, black pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, Garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and Chickpea flour/besan
  • Combine well ( it’s best to mix with hand, to coat the veggies and paneer with masala)
  • Marinate for at least 3 hours
  • Next, Take metal/wooden skewers and prick bell peppers, onion, Paneer alternately and repeat the same pattern to the next skewers as well
  • Preheat oven at 425 F / 220 C and bake for 20 minutes then broil 1-2 minutes must turn sides in between to make crispy out and brown spots on veggies and on paneer cubes
  • Now, sprinkle lemon juice on roughly chopped white onion keep as a side for paneer Tikka and it’s ready to serve πŸ‘πŸ˜€
