Methi Mutter Malai 😍| Fenugreek peas cream curry | Restaurant Style

Creamy, smooth gravy and delicious to dip in with roti / Naan, the base of the curry is prepared with onion, tomatoes, whole Cashew Nuts and few add ons. It’s thick , creamy and absolutely yummy side dish and would definitely reflects restaurant style appealing dish. Mainly, it is the combination of Fenugreek leaves and green peas and few spoons of heavy cream πŸ˜‹

Let’s start with Ingredients and Procedure

Ingredients:

  • Methi leaves/ Fenugreek leaves – 1/2 bunch or 3 cups of quantity – washed and chopped
  • Frozen Green peas – 1 cup ( you can use fresh peas instead)
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Red chilly powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/8 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Heavy cream – 3 Tb sp
  • Oil – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons

To make gravy you need :

  • White onion – 1 – medium
  • Tomatoes – 2 – medium
  • Green chillies – 2
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece – chopped
  • Cashew Nuts – whole – 10

Procedure:

Step 1:

  • Heat a pan add 1/2 teaspoon of oil and add chopped Methi and sautΓ© 2 minutes and turn off heat. Take out to a bowl and keep aside

Step 2:

  • Next to make gravy, add in 1/2 Tb sp of butter, ginger, garlic, onion on heated pan and sautΓ© 2 minutes. Then add chopped tomatoes and sautΓ© more 2-3 minutes and turn off heat
  • Let it become cool then make smooth purΓ©e by adding in blender along with 1/2 cup of water
  • Keep aside and start making curry

Step 3:

  • On medium heated deep fry pan or sauce pan add butter, cumin seeds and bay leaf. SautΓ© and then add salt, Chilly powder, coriander Powder, Garam masala powder, kasuri Methi, turmeric powder, sugar
  • Saute 2 minutes and then add grounded purΓ©e, let it cook for 5 minutes and add Methi, peas and mix well
  • Let it cook for more 5 minutes and add fresh cream, combine well and cook more 2 minutes and turn off heat
  • Take out in a serving bowl and serve hot with roti/Β Garlic Naan,Β Lachha ParathaΒ Or Phulka
