Hariyali Paneer πŸƒ|Cottage Cheese Green Curry🌿

The photo itself says – contains lots of greens and paneer, chosen all peculiar ingredients to enrich the recipe. Paneer is also called as Indian Cottage Cheese made out of milk. Greens used to make the gravy are spinach, mint leaves and cilantro with other Indian spices and butter.

A must try indian recipe, It takes around 45 minutes duration to complete the dish but the time taken worth’s it. You will definitely enjoy this curry, do try and include greens in your daily diet.

Let’s start with Ingredients and follows Procedure

Ingredients:

  • Paneer – cubed – 200 gms
  • Spinach – 100 gms
  • CardamomΒ – 2
  • CinnamonΒ – 1 stick – small
  • cloves – 2
  • Mace / javitri – 1 piece
  • Black pepper powder – 1/8 teaspoonΒ 
  • Β Bay leaf – 1
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece chopped
  • Garlic – 3 cloves – chopped
  • Green chilliesΒ – 2
  • Mint – handful / 20 leavesΒ 
  • Coriander leavesΒ  – handful
  • Cumin powderΒ – 1/2 Tb sp
  • Coriander PowderΒ – 1/2 tb sp
  • Red Chilly powderΒ – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powderΒ – 1/8 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder – 1/4 teaspoonΒ 
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • OnionΒ – 1 – chopped
  • TomatoΒ – 1/2 – chopped
  • Milk – 3 Tb sp ( you can replace it with fresh heavy cream)
  • curd – 3 Tb sp
  • Butter – 3 Tb sp
  • Β Kasuri MethiΒ Powder – 1/2 tsp

Procedure:

  • First, fry Paneer till golden brown by adding 1 Tb sp butter on medium heated pan
  • Take out Paneer in a bowl

  • Next make gravy for the curry, for that in the same pan add green chillies, ginger, garlic, onion, tomato
  • Saute 2 minutes and then add mint and coriander leaves
  • Saute and add spinach, when it’s done turn off heat and let it become cool down
  • Add in mixer and make smooth paste by adding little water

Process of Hariyali Paneer:

  • In medium heated pan add 2 Tb sp butter , add in cloves , cinnamon, Cardamom, bay leaf and mace
  • Saute them, add grounded paste and cook 5 minutes
  • Add in curd, milk and combine well
  • Let it cook more 3 minutes and then add salt, turmeric, red chilly powder, cumin – coriander Powder, kasuri Methi, Black Pepper Powder and garam masala powder
  • SautΓ© them and cook for few minutes and then add fried Paneer
  • Cook 5 minutes and turn off heat
  • Hariyali Paneer is ready to serve
