Cabbage Pachadi | Chutney πŸ˜‹

Side dish: Cabbage ChutneyΒ

Servings: 4

Duration: 30 minutes

Chutney is basically a thick sauce or dip relish as a side for fried fritters/ vada / any South Indian Breakfast. I prepared Something uncommon and delicious chutney with cabbage. It’s simple to make and very soothing side goes well with idly/dosa/rice or roti. Just stir fry ingredients , ground it and toss with tempering. You can essence the aroma of freshly toasted cabbage chutney.

Let’s start with Ingredients and follows Procedure

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage – 1/2 kg – finely chopped
  • Red tomatoes πŸ…Β – 2 – big sized
  • Green chillies – 4
  • Tamarind pulp – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut oil – 1 Tb sp
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 Tb sp
  • Garlic cloves – 3 – chopped

For tempering:

  • Coconut oil – 2 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal – 1/2 Tb sp
  • Chana dal – 1/2 Tb sp
  • Curry leaves – 5

Procedure:

  • Add cumin seeds, green chillies and garlic cloves in a medium heated pan
  • Saute a minute then add chopped tomatoes and tamarind

  • Saute more 5 minutes or till cooked 80%
  • Turn off heat and transfer it to mixer grinder
