Breakfast recipe: Cabbage Capsicum Paratha

Servings: 7 Paratha’s

Duration: 30 minutes

Parathas are always my most-liked healthy, quick and delightful meal either it can be prepared as a morning breakfast or lunch, these magnificent Parathas can be made in two ways. First one, is to finely chop or grate cabbage, add a dash of spices and flour the second one is to sautΓ© cabbage and spices then make round balls out of it and finally making them as stuffed Parathas.

Today, I followed the easy method which is first one it’s so simple can also be prepared instantly if the cabbage available at home rest of the ingredients are at kitchen shelves. Just mix everything, make dough, roll it and cook it 😍 These Parathas are most appealing to my appetizer

Let’s start with ingredients and follows Procedure

  • Whole Wheat flour – 350 gms – 1 1/2 cups
  • Cabbage – finely chopped – 1 cup
  • Capsicum – Finely Chopped – 1/4 cup
  • Butter – 1 Tb sp ( to add in flour)
  • Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  • Ajwain or carom seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • White sesame seeds – 1/2 Tb sp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilly Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chillies – 2 – finely chopped
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/8 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves – 5 – finely chopped
  • Coriander powder – 1 Tb sp
  • Garam masala powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cilantro – 1/4 cup – finely chopped ( I couldn’t added bcoz out of stock but it’s best to include in this Paratha)
  • Butter- 1-2 Tb sp ( to cook Parathas )

  • Take a deep bowl add all ingredients
  • Mix all till combines well
  • Make a firm dough by adding sufficient water
  • Let it rest 5-10 minutes otherwise it becomes too soft and it’s difficult to make Parathas
  • Now Divide the dough into equal parts and make round dough balls ( check below pictures)
  • Roll the dough by smearing wheat flour
  • Heat a tava on medium high heat, place a rolled Paratha on it and cook both sides by applying butter
  • Transfer to a serving plate and it’s best combo are curd and pickles
  • I hope you like it and enjoy your weekend πŸ˜ƒ
