Breakfast recipe: Jonna Idly

Jowar Idly is healthy, tasty and rich in fiber a good way to start your day with these yummy ๐ย Idlies. Just 2 main ingredients to make batter and itโs easy and simple to make at home ๐ก

Duration: 6 hours to soak + 10 hours to ferment + 12 mins to cook
Letโs start with Ingredients and follows Procedure
Ingredients:
- Jonnalu / Jowar – 2 cups – 320 gms
- Urad dal – 1 cup – 160 gms
- Methi / Fenugreek seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Procedure:
- Soak urad dal+Methi seeds and Jowar in separate bowls
- Wash twice and add fresh water and soak for 6 hours
- Grind them separately and pour in deep bowl.
- Add salt, Combine well and let it ferment for 10 hours
- Batter fermented well, once again mix the batter by adding baking soda
- Pour batter in Idly mold and cook them for 12 minutes
