Aloo Mutter Curry| Potato Peas Curry |Side Dish

Side dish: Curry Recipe

Any dish made with potatoes are awesome, delicious and addictive ☺️ too. It’s the king of all vegetables and tastes great in any variety and loved all over the world 🌎 It can be potato chips/ French fries 🍟/ Aloo Paratha / Potato Sandwich or curries all these plays their scrumptious food role and activates your taste buds. I love potatoes who doesn’t? ☺️

Today I’m sharing easy and tasty side dish for ChapathiGarlic butter NaanPoori or serve with piping hot rice 🍚 topped with ghee or clarified butter.

Let’s start with Ingredients and follows Procedure

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes 🥔 – 3 – Peeled off and diced
  • Green peas – frozen – 1 cup – 80 gms
  • Onion – 1 – medium sized- finely chopped
  • Tomato 🍅 –  1 medium – Finely chopped
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilly Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 5 – chopped
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • cloves – 1
  • Cinnamon stick – small piece
  • Water – 250 ml
  • Oil – 2 tb sp
  • Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup – chopped
  • Masala paste : Grounded 👇
  1. Cloves 2
  2. cinnamon half inch
  3. Poppy seeds  – 1 Tb sp
  4. Dry coconut powder – 2 Tb sp
  5. Green chillies – 3
  6. Ginger – 1 Tb sp – chopped

Procedure:

  • On medium heated skillet pan add oil
  • Add in cumin seeds, curry leaves, bay leaf, cloves and cinnamon. Sauté 30 secs
  • Add onion and sauté 2 minutes
  • Then goes in chopped potatoes , sauté 5 minutes
  • Next add masala paste , salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, Garam masala powder. Combine well for 2 minutes
  • Next goes chopped tomatoes, cook until they become mushy
  • After that add peas and sauté a minute, immediately add water and mix well
  • Cook the potatoes by covering with lid for 12 minutes over medium heat
  • Let the water evaporate and infuse the flavours in potatoes and peas
  • Turn off heat and add coriander leaves, once combine everything and serve with hot phulkas or puri or rice or naan
  • Aloo Mutter curry is ready to serve 🙂 Happy Cooking and have a wonderful day 🌞
