Side dish : Onion Pappula chutneyΒ

Duration: 5 minsΒ 

A quick fix chutney which is onion Pappula chutney goes well with fresh steamed idly, crispy dosa, Phulka, Chapathi and rice flour roti. It a basic chutney and we usually make in our home, if you’re busy and can’t make any potato curry for dosa then simply prepare this chutney ahead to save your time or else you can prepare instantly with in 5 mins. So don’t miss this fresh chutney, I hope you like it.

Let’s start with Ingredients and follows with Procedure

Ingredients:

  • Split Roasted Chana dal / pappulu – 80 gms
  • Fresh coconut – 1/3 cup
  • Onion – 1 – Diced
  • Kashmiri Dry Red chillies – 3
  • Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
  • Tamarind pulp – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Water – 100 ml

Procedure:

  • In a mixer grinder add salt, red chilly powder, dry Red chillies, tamarind, pappulu , coconut & water
  • Blend till smooth paste & Add Diced onion
  • Blend coarsely & Take out in a bowl
  • Serve it with either Chapathi / Dosa/ Idly Β /Rice flour roti
