Raw Mango Rasam πŸ˜‹| Mamidikaya Charu | Summer Special

Authentic and flavoured South Indian Side Dish is β€˜Rasam’ Β Let it make special in this hot summer by using mangoes. Usually in Rasam we add tamarind pulp or tomatoes to create tangy or sour taste but with out these ingredients we can replace it with Raw Mango πŸ˜€ Yes, it tastes great and people who love mangoes will definitely enjoy this tangy and delicious β€˜Mango Rasam’ Β with piping hot rice 🍚 

Let’s start with ingredients and follows Procedure

Ingredients:

  • Raw Mango – Diced – 15 pieces
  • Water – 750 ml
  • Rasam Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1 1/2 tsp
  • Jaggery piece – 1 or 2 Tb sp powder
  • Hing – pinch
  • Chopped garlic cloves – 4 ( Or crush in mortar & pestle )
  • Curry leaves – 6 – chopped
  • Oil – 2 tsp
  • Dry Kashmiri Red chillies – 2
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp

Procedure:

  • Heat sauce pan over medium heat
  • Add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, garlic, dry Red chillies and saute 1 minute
  • Next Add Rasam Powder, black Pepper Powder, salt, jaggery piece & hing
  • Saute half minute and add water
  • Mix well & cook 3 minutes
  • Next, add diced raw mango pieces. Mix well
  • Cook 15 minutes & Turn off heat
  • Happy cooking & Enjoy 😊

    Heyyy watte coincidence….eeroju maa meal….mamidi rasam, mamidi chutney and annam. Just a slight difference, mamidikayani vudakapetti mash chesi vesthaanu, that’s it😊
