Breakfast Recipe: South Indian breakfast : Instant Ragi Dosa

Finger Millet is good for health and flour too, I previously shared recipe with finger millet flour/ Ragi flour the link available at the end of post. Today I prepared a healthy, quick and crispy South Indian breakfast recipe is Instant Ragi Dosa. It is delicious and lovely thin crepe, I hope you like it

Let’s start with Ingredients and follows Procedure

Ingredients:

  • Ragi / Finger Millet flour – 160 gms
  • Rice flour – 80 gms
  • Sooji/ Semolina – 40 gms
  • Onion – 1 medium – finely chopped
  • Carrot πŸ₯•Β – Grated – 4 tb sp
  • Cilantro – handful – finely chopped
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Green chilly – 1 – finely chopped
  • Ginger – 1 tb sp – finely chopped
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 8-10
  • Oil – to cook dosa

Procedure:

  • Add all ingredients in a mixing bowl except oil ☺️
  • Mix well, add water(400 ml) little by little and mix completely with out any lumps
  • Batter should be pouring consistency
  • Rest 10 mins ( Meanwhile prepare chutney)
  • Heat dosa tawa over medium to high heat
  • Sprinkle water and wipe off with onion/ paper towel
  • Pour batter all over Dosa tawa ( you should not spread like normal DosaΒ )
  • Apply oil and cook till it release from tawa
  • Flip and cook the other side
  • Serve hot with your chutney orΒ Peanut Chutney

Note:

  • Adjust spicy and salt according to taste
  • It’s best to finish batter immediately, don’t preserve more than a day because it’s become so soft and can’t make Dosa out of it
  • Double the quantity to make more Dosa’s
  • Serve warm or hot immediately
