Ugadi is Telugu New Year, south India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณย  on this special day we prepare a mandatory and traditional dish from years it is Ugadi Pachadi. It contains 6 flavours of taste they are sweet, sour, bitter, tangy, salt and spicy which means in every one’s life we must come cross all these situations in any one of the day, so life is full of cherishing, happy and sometimes bitter etc., we do prepare this Pachadi and drinks on this occasion ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Today, I’m sharing this wonderful and flavoured Ugadi Pachadi, I hope you all like it ๐Ÿ˜Š

Let’s start with Ingredients and follows Procedure

Ugadi Pachadi:

  • Tamarind extract – 200 ml
  • Raw Mango – pieces – 1 1/2 tb sp
  • Neem flowers- petals – 1 tb sp
  • Jaggery – powder – 1 1/2 tb sp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder – 1/4 tsp

Procedure:

  • First squeeze tamarind extract and add in a mixing bowl
  • Add rest of the ingredients in it
  • Mix well
  • Serve to family and friends/ offer to God and then serve โ˜บ๏ธ
  • Happy Cooking and enjoy your day

Step by step process shown below with pictures:

Note:

  • Soak tamarind in water for about 20 mins
  • Squeeze pulp and use in Ugadi Pachadi
  • Neem flowers – use only petals
  • If you prefer, you can add some finely chopped nuts such ย as cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds or Almonds
  • Serve immediately, my suggestion don’t store ( it tastes great when it’s fresh, who tasted Ugadi Pachadi earlier won’t keep it for hours โ˜บ๏ธ )

  6. Sounds delightful Ramya. We usually partake the neem and jaggery alone but blend with the addition of tamarind and chilli powder sounds great!
