Andhra Special Sweet Recipe: Sunnundalu/ Minapappu Laddu

Authentic, Healthy and simple to make Sweet which is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. This dessert main ingredient is Urad Dal , it is processed raw black gram ( black lentils) ย Urad Dal contains high protein and minerals than other Dal ( lentils ) you can check out detailed information below:

It’s is an traditional sweet recipe and famous in Andhra , India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณย Coming Sunday, our new year it’s called “Ugadi ” On this special day, we make many varieties of sweets, snacks and ‘Ugadi Pachadi’. I hope you can checkout my sweets and snack recipes and make your festival with great dishes.

Recipes with Urad Dal:

Ingredients:

  • Urad Dal / Minapappu – 160 gms
  • Granulated sugar – 100 gms ( powdered )
  • Fine Cane sugar – light brown – 80 gms
  • Ghee – 40 ml
  • Fried cashew nuts – chopped – 3 tb sp

Procedure:

  • Dry roast Urad Dal in a pan over low to medium heat
  • Roast till golden brown ( stir continuously to avoid burnt ) turn off heat
  • Transfer them in a plate, let them become cool
  • Blend them into fine & smooth powder
  • Add blended powder in mixing bowl
  • Then add rest of the ingredients
  • Mix well and make round shaped balls
  • Store in an airtight container to remain fresh
  • Serve to family members and enjoy your day ๐Ÿ™‚
