Almond Powder/ Almond mix – Milk – Energy Drink

I know all are busy making new year treats like cakes or chocolates or cup cakes but I’m sharing completely contrast to it something different and not related to new year treat ☺️

Almonds mix/ Almonds powder is mixed with protein, minerals and lots of vitamin B series supplements are good to health especially for kids, women & adults. Add 2 tb sp of almonds powder in warm milk, stir and drink.

This recipe I learned from my mother, almond powder contains only three ingredients you can prepare and preserve in an airtight container to keep it fresh. It Perserves at least 3 months better not to refrigerate.

Make almond Powder and drink weekly 4-5 times to gain health benefits, simply I can say it’s an energy drink πŸ₯›Β and also comforting hot drink in winter ❄️

Nutrition facts:

Badam/ Almonds: Vitamins B6 Minerals iron, calcium, fiber, protein, potassium & magnesium

Poppy seeds:Β Minerals iron, calcium, fiber, protein, potassium & magnesium

Today I prepared Almonds powder is simple yet make with patience ☺️

Ingredients:

  • Almonds – 240 gms
  • Cane sugar – 240 gms
  • Poppy seeds – 60 gms

Procedure:

Prepreparation:

How to make dry roasted Almonds?

  • Soak almonds 6-8 hours
  • Drain water
  • Remove peel
  • Let them dry on paper towel / kitchen towel
  • Dry for 1 day ( don’t dry almonds under sunlight/ any heat )

Process of making Almond Powder:

  • Heat a pan over low to medium heat
  • Add dried almonds
  • Dry roast them till color changes slightly to brown
  • Keep them aside
  • Add poppy seeds in the same pan
  • Dry roast them till pop & color changes to golden brown ( don’t roast over medium – high heat )
  • Let roasted almonds and poppy seeds become cool for 15 mins
  • In a mixer grinder add roasted almonds, poppy seeds and cane sugar
  • Blend till smooth powder
  • Once done, to make fine powder sieve it ( if you find any big chunks grind them again & sieve )
  • Store in an airtight container
  • Add 2 tb sp of almond Powder in 300 ml milk
  • Mix well and drink.. Best energy drink
  • Serve hot and good for kids and adults

Note:

  • Adjust sweetness according to taste
  • Double the ingredients to increase the quantity
  • Store in an airtight container
  • Perserves upto 3 months
  • You can also use powdered jaggery/ Crystal sugar instead of cane sugar
  • While serving Almond milk add grated Badam/ Almonds

Lovely post Ramya…my granny always makes this for us..she also used to add a little bit of cardamom powder for added flavor..this is really good for health and specially brain..awesome share…i only knew of making it fresh but didn’t knew to store it..thank you so much for such an awesome share☺
