Breakfast/ Dinner : Garlic Butter Naan: Indiaย
Servings: 5
Duration: 2 hrs for resting dough + 20 mins to cook Naanย
Naan is one type of roti making it out of all purpose flour it goes well with any Gravy curry or Dal with butter. It is a big hit in North India slowly propagated all over India.
It is an Indian fluffy flatbread which is super delicious and it’s famous in any Indian restaurants. You will get frozen Naan too but I prefer homemade or in restaurants when I was bit lazy/ parties/ occasions ๐
Why I prepared and posted Garlic Butter Naan ?
Chela is One of my best followers, she loves Indian food and huge fan of Garlic Butter Naan one day she asked me to make Garlic Butter Naan recipe, actually it’s my pleasure to do. Naan you can also make with wheat flour or both all purpose flour and wheat flour I post them in my upcoming recipes.
One dough which I prepared is easy and you could make three types of Naan. They are:
Naan:ย
- Take one part of dough
- Roll it in oval shape
- Apply some water to back side of Naan & put wet side on hot tawa
- Cook both sides
- Naan is ready
Butter Naan:
- Take one part of dough
- Roll it in oval shape
- Apply some water to back side of Naan & put wet side on hot tawa
- Brush it with melted Butter
- Cook both sides
- Butter Naan is ready
Garlic Butter Naan:
- Take one part of dough
- Roll it in oval shape
- Sprinkle garlic & sesame seeds and press gently with hands
- Roll it once again
- Apply some water to back side of Naan & put wet side on hot tawa
- Brush it with melted Butter
- Cook both sides
- ย Garlic Butter Naan is ready

Process of making Baked Garlic Butter Naan:

Step by step process shown below with pictures:
Note:
- Adjust salt according to taste
- If you doesn’t like to use yeast then replace it with 1/2 tsp of baking soda and rest of the ingredients are same
- While rolling Naan if it is sticky to hand or to rolling pin, apply some oil to hands / rolling pin. It works out and won’t stick to hands / rolling pin
- Double the ingredients to increase quantity
- Dont add so much of water , first mix with 3 tb sp lukewarm water & curd. If required add water otherwise don’t add water
- Actually, here electric stove so I cooked Naan like roti, if you’re using gas stove then flip the tawa with Naan towards gas so it bubbles up with nice brown color ( if you’re not sure how to make don’t trail on gas stove )
- While serving Butter Naan/ Garlic Butter Naan, again brush it with melted butter to make it rich, fresh and shiny ๐๐
Difference between baked and tawa garlic butter naan?
- Baked Garlic Butter Naan turned out crisp outside, soft and Fluffy inside
- Garlic Butter Naan on tawa turned out soft in inside, outside and texture too ๐
- Simply I like to say both are super delicious ๐
