Rice flour is made out of rice, often used in South Indian dishes and you can prepare many recipes out of it such as snacks and breakfast recipes.

Any kind of dish prepared with rice flour is delicious and tasty πŸ˜‹Β . How you can make them delicious is by adding spices, roasted peanuts and veggies to it.

Today I prepared a next version to Akki roti / tapilintu/ Roti roti which I posted before. So what’s Make special in this breakfast recipe is I added grated bottle Gourd which gives more taste to your roti and crispness with nice aroma.

You believe or not I made this recipe without water. Let’s see how i prepared.

Nutrition facts:

Rice Flour:

Vitamin : B6

Minerals : calcium, iron , potassium & magnesium

Bottle Gourd:

Vitamins: C

Minerals: Calcium, magnesium & potassium

Cumin seeds:

Vitamin : A

Minerals : calcium, iron , potassium & magnesium

Sesame seeds:

Vitamin : B6

Minerals : calcium, iron , potassium & magnesium

Peanuts :

Vitamin : B6

Minerals : calcium, iron , potassium & magnesium

Coriander leaves:

Vitamins: A & C

Let’s start with Ingredients and follows Procedure

1 cup = 160 gms

Ingredients:

Rice flour – 2 cups

Grated Bottle Gourd – 1 cup

Grated carrot – 1/2 cup

Onion – 1 –Β  Chopped – 1/2 cup

Coriander leaves – chopped – 1/4 cup

Jeera/cumin seeds Β – 1 tbsp

Sesame seeds – 1/2 tbsp – white/ Black

Salt – 1 tsp

Roasted peanuts powder – 2 tbsp

Green chilies – paste – 6 – ground

Oil – 1/4 cup

Procedure:

  • In a deep bowl add all ingredients
  • Squeeze and mix well, don’t add water because Water extracts from grated bottle gourd ( if you are using less quantity of bottle gourd then you should add water, as required to the dough)
  • Make smooth dough till incorporated
  • Divide it into equal balls
  • Apply oil on a butter paper
  • Place a ball on it and press with hand to make the round shape
  • Heat a skillet pan over medium heat
  • Slowly flip the butter paper on the pan
  • After half min slowly remove the butter paper
  • Apply oil and close with lid
  • Take out lid after one minute
  • Cook both sides equally by applying oil
  • Cook roti till golden brown
  • Serve these roti’s hot in breakfast/ evening with fresh curd or pickle or onion
