In South India, there are many varieties of curries as gravy, dry, Dal as side dish in lunch / dinner with rice/ roti.
So I prepared cabbage Stir Fry as side dish for rice/ roti. It is simple and quick to make with spices and tomatoes.
Most of the people don’t like to eat cabbage, try this curry and I’m sure you will definitely like to eat cabbage in this way.
If you are preparing this curry for children make sure you must reduce green chillies and red chilly powder. Add according to your children’s taste.

Today, I prepared cabbage stir fry with tomatoes and spices. Easy to make and learn
Let’s start with ingredients and follows Procedure
Cabbage – finely chopped – 1 bowl – 500 gms
Tomato 🍅 – 2 medium sized – finely chopped
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Green chillies – finely chopped – 1 tb sp
Red chilly Powder – 1 tb sp
Coriander Powder – 1/2 tb sp
Coriander/ Cilantro – chopped – 1/4 cup
Salt – 1 and 1/2 teaspoon
Oil – 2 tb sp
- Heat frying pan on medium heat
- Add oil, cumin seeds and chopped green chillies
- Saute 30 secs
- Add finely chopped cabbage
- Saute 5 mins
- Add chopped tomatoes 🍅
- Saute and cook 5 mins
- Add salt, red chilly powder and coriander powder
- Mix well and cook 3 mins
- Turn off burner/ cooktop
- Add chopped coriander leaves
- Mix well
- Serve Cabbage Stir Fry with Hot Rice/ Chapathi/ Roti
