Vadappa / Rice Flour Puri/ Chawal Ki Puri || Instant Recipe

Quick & Easy Instant Recipe:


Rice flour – 1 cup

Cumin / Jeera – 1 teaspoon

Sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon

Salt – to taste

Oil – To deep fry

Water – as required

Tortilla press / Stainless steel press


  • In medium sized bowlΒ Add rice flour, jeera/ cumin and salt
  • Mix them well
  • Make dough by adding water little by little
  • Dough must be non sticky
  • Make lemon side balls and Keep them aside
  • Take sesame seeds in a plate
  • Gently press rice flour ball in sesame seeds
  • Repeat the same process till the dough completes
  • Heat the oil to deep fry on medium to high
  • Take one rice flour ball and keep it on butter paper / plastic paper
  • Press it in tortilla press
  • It should be thick not thin
  • Take out the pressed puri in hand and drop it in hot oil carefully
  • Pour oil on it , theΒ rice flour puri will puffs up
  • Cook both sides well
  • Serve it hot with any chutney
