Pav Bhaji Masala Veg Biryani πŸ˜‹ || Weekend Spl

Ingredients:

Basmati Rice – 1 cup

Veggies:

πŸ₯• Carrots – 1/4 cup

Beans – 1/2 cup

Cauliflower Β – chopped – 1 cup

Potato πŸ₯”- peeled off – diced – 1 cup

Onion – finely sliced – 1 cup

Tomatoes πŸ…- 3 medium size – diced – 1 cup

Cumin seeds/ Jeera – 1 tea spoon

Bay leaf πŸƒ – 1

Green chillies – 8

Garlic – Cloves – 10

Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tb sp

Oil – 2 tb sp

Pav Bhaji Masala Powder – 1 teaspoon

Pav Bhaji Masala Powder

Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

Cumin/ Jeera powder- 1 tea spoon

Coriander powder – 1 tea spoon

Salt – as per taste

Raita:

Curd/ yogurt – 1 cup

Finely chopped onion – 1/2 cup

Cumin/ Jeera powder- 1/4 teaspoon

Pepper powder – 1/4 tea spoon

Salt – To taste

Procedure:

  • Wash Basmati rice twice and keep aside
  • Make green chillies+Garlic paste and keep aside
  • Heat frying pan on medium to high heat
  • Add oil ,Β Jeera/cumin seeds let them fry add biryani leaf and sliced onion in the same pan
  • Saute for one minute
  • Add green chillies + Garlic paste Β and Ginger-Garlic paste
  • Saute for one minute
  • Add diced tomatoesΒ and Saute
  • Close with lid and cook one minute
  • Add Veggies: carrots, beans and potatoes
  • Saute for 1 min
  • Next add red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin/ jeera powder and pav Bhaji masala powder
    Mix them well and saute for one to two minutes
  • Add 2 tb sp of water and add chopped cauliflower
  • Saute them and Close with lid
  • Cook for one minute
  • Next add washed rice, salt and mix them well
  • Close lid for one minute
  • Ratio of water to this biryaniΒ (1 cup basmati rice – 1 and 1/2 cups of water )
  • Close with lid and cook 10 to 15 minutes in low to medium heat
