Capsicum Coconut 🌴 Curry / Green Bell pepper Curry

Ingredients:

Capsicum/ Green Bell pepper – Diced – 1 cup

Sliced onion – 2 tb sp

Coriander chopped – 1 tb sp

Salt – to taste

Masala for curry:

Green chillies – 4

Coriander seeds – 1 teaspoon

Poppy seeds – 1 teaspoon

Garlic cloves – 2

Fresh grated coconut – 2 tb sp

Onion – diced – 1 tb sp

For Tempering:
Mustard seeds/ Avvalu – 1/4 tea spoon
Cumin seeds/ Jeera – 1/2 tea spoon
Urad dal/ Minapappu – 1/4 tea spoon
Bengal gram/ Senagapappu – 1/4 tea spoon
Curry leaves – 4 to 5
Oil – 1 tb sp

Procedure:

Make Masala for curry:

  • In a mixer grinder add green chillies, garlic cloves, poppy seeds, coriander seeds and make fine paste
  • Next add fresh grated coconut, onion and salt
  • Make smooth paste

Curry Preparation:

  • Add oil In frying pan on medium heat
  • Add tempering
  • Add sliced onion. Cook for one minute
  • Add diced capsicum/ Green Bell pepper
  • Saute for 2 to 5 mins
  • Cook them nicely when capsicum gets cut easily with spatula
  • Add Masala paste and mix it well
  • Saute 2 mins
  • Add chopped coriander and saute
  • Serve it with Rice and DalΒ Menthi Akku Pappu/ Menthi dal tadka/ Fenugreek leaves dal
