Rice flour Roti/ Chawal ki Roti

1 cup = 240 gms

Rice flour – 1 cup

Water – 1 and 1/2 cups

Cumin seeds/ Jeera – 1/2 tb sp

Salt – 1/2 tb sp

Oil – 1 tb sp


Dough preparation:

  • Add 1 and 1/2 cups water and oil in frying pan on medium heat
  • In a bowl add salt , Cumin / Jeera seeds and rice flour
  • Mix them well with spoon
  • When water started boiling add mixed rice flour on water and reduce the heat to low to medium
  • Keep it for 10 to 12 minutes
  • Now switch off burner/ cook top
  • Mix the rice flour and water with spatula
  • Let it become cool
  • Divide dough into equal parts
  • Make medium sized balls

Rice Flour Roti Preparation:

  • On butter paper Apply oil and put one rice flour ball on it
  • Press gently at center and cover it with another butter paper with oil
  • Roll the roti by using rolling pin
  • Roti should neither thick nor thin
  • Heat tava on medium to high
  • Apply oil and place roti with butter paper on it
  • After few seconds remove butter paper from tava
  • Now Apply oil on roti , let it cook and flip roti
  • Cook both sides nicely by applying oil
  • Each roti takes 2 to 3 mins time to cook well
  • Rice Flour Roti / Chawal ki Roti is ready
  • Serve it hot with any chutney , I preferΒ Red Chilly Onion Chutney/ Erra karam Chutney
