Radish Paratha / Mooli Paratha / Mulangi Paratha

Ingredients:

Chapathi/ Roti

Chapathi dough – as required

Stuffing:

Grated Radish/ Mooli – 2 cups

Finely chopped onion – 1 cup

Oil – 2 tb sp

Cumin/ Jeera – 1 teaspoon

Ginger-Garlic paste – 1/2 tb sp

Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon

Red chilli Powder – 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon

Dry coconut powder – 2 tb sp

Salt – to taste

Procedure:

  • Heat oil in frying pan on medium heat
  • Add Cumin seeds/Jeera let them splutter
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for few seconds
  • Add finely chopped onion and saute for 2 mins
  • Add grated radish and saute
  • Close with lid on it for 3 to 5 minutes
  • Remove lid and saute for 1 minute
  • When radish cooked well , add salt, Cumin powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder and dry coconut powder
  • Mix them well and saute for one minute
  • Stuffing is ready
  • Transfer radish stuffing in a bowl and let it become cool
  • Make round balls equally with radish stuffing
  • Take chapathi dough
  • Divide it into equal parts
  • Take one of it and make 5 inch thick circle by using rolling pin
  • Put radish stuffing ball at center of it and close it as shown in picture
  • Make radish stuffing ball and press with hands gently
  • Add flour for dusting and on stuffing chapathi ball rotate rolling pin upwards and downwards to make Paratha
  • Tava should be hot and nice
  • Apply oil on tava and put paratha on it
  • Cook both sides nicely by applying oil on it till color changes with brown dots on paratha
  • Radish paratha is ready
  • Serve it hot with onion/ curd/ yogurt
