Rice Flour Murukullu / Biyapindi Karallu/ Karapusa


Rice flour – 2 Cups

Roasted chickpea powder – 1 Cup

Cumin seeds/ Jeera – 1 tb sp

Sesame seeds( white/Black) – 1 tb sp

Hot oil – 1 tb sp

Salt – 1/2 tb sp

Oil – To deep fry


  • In medium sized bowl add rice flour, roasted chickpea powder, cumin seeds, sesame seeds and salt
  • Mix them well
  • Now add 1 tb sp hot oil in bowl
  • Mix it carefully with spatula
  • Now add water little by little in it and make soft dough by using hands
  • Make sure dough should be non sticky
  • Take Muruku maker/ Stainless steel kitchen press grater cookies
  • Apply oil in maker and put 3 small holesΒ stainless steel jali
  • Put some dough in it and make muruku
  • Heat oil to deep fry
  • Repeat the process until dough completes
  • Cook muruku in low to medium heat
  • Take out biyapindi karallu / Rice flour murukullu when color changes slightly
  • keep murukullu on paper towel to absorb oil
  • Crispy and crunchy rice flour murukullu is ready
