Crispy Chegodilu /Rice flour rings

Ingredients:

Rice flour – 1 cup

Moong Dal – 1 tb sp

Jeera/Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon

Sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon

Red chilli powder – 1 tb sp

Asafoetida/Inguva – 1/4 teaspoon

Salt – 1/2 tb sp

Water – 2 cups

Oil – to deep fry

Procedure:

  • Soak moong Dal in water. Keep aside
  • Boil 2 cups of water in frying pan or medium sized bowl with one tb sp oil
  • Mix rice flour,sesame seeds, cumin/Jeera , red chilly powder,asafoetida and salt in a big bowl
  • Add mixed rice flour in boiling water. Mix them in low to medium heat
  • Transfer this to another bowl
  • Add soaked moong Dal and mix
  • Let it become cool
  • Knead well and make perfect dough
  • On chopping board or clear granite take some dough and roll thin by using both hands
  • cut it equally about 3 inches
  • Make a round shape by attaching edges
  • Deep fry in oil on low to medium heat up to 5 to 7 mins
  • When you cook slowly rice flour rings become crisp and crunchy
  • Repeat the same process till dough completes
  • Serve it in a bowl as evening snack/ pack for kids with lunch box πŸ˜€β˜ΊοΈ
