Green gram Dosa/ Pesara Attu/ Moong Dal Dosa


Green gram/ Pesara Pappu/ Moong dal – 1 cup

Ginger – 1 tb sp

Green chillies – 5

Carrot grated – 1/2 cup

Onion finely chopped – 1 cup

Coriander – 2 tb sp

Rice flour – 3 tb sp

Salt – As per taste

Oil – Β 3 tb sp


  • Soak Green gram/ pesara pappu/ moong dal in a bowl for 8 hours
  • Add soaked green gram, green chillies,salt and chopped ginger in mixer grinder blend it till smooth paste. If required add some amount of water not much
  • Take out the batter to a bowl then add rice flour and mix it well
  • Batter should be medium thick consistency
  • Take a tawa, it should be in medium heat
  • Check the tawa is heat or not by sprinkling water on it
  • Now add one big laddle batter on center of the tawa and Spread the batter in circle shape
  • Now Spread chopped onion, grated carrot and coriander on top of the dosa and apply oil
  • Flip the dosa when it turns to golden brown and cook the other side also
  • Serve it in a plate withΒ Spicy Ginger Chutney/ Allam pachadi
  • Enjoy the healthy dosa when it’s hot
